How we teach and learn in ACT public schools

21 Feb 2024

ACT public school teachers use a range of teaching and learning practices designed to meet the individual needs of all students. Across every school we use data to identify what each student needs, and we adjust our learning and teaching strategies to meet each student where they are.

We are committed to making sure students are empowered as active participants in their education in all curriculum areas, as well as in society.

All ACT public schools teach the newest version of the Australian Curriculum (V9.0)External Link from kindergarten to year 10. The curriculum is designed to be flexible and meet the unique needs and interests of all students. The Australian Curriculum sets the goal for what all students should learn as they progress through their school life – whichever school they attend.
